Fantastic news!

We were assessed at the end of January by the National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) against the standards of their quality assurance scheme, e-Quality Counts. E-Quality Counts is a national quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is continually delivering the best possible care for young children. We  are  delighted  to  tell  you  that  we  have  been  successfully  awarded  this accreditation at Level 3, the highest level.

There are 15 units against which we were assessed and we have been working hard to achieve this accreditation for the last two years, as it acts as an indicator of the quality of service we offer. We are delighted that our efforts have been rewarded and that we have achieved this very special award.

This national accreditation is awarded to nurseries that achieve a level of quality exceeding the national standards.  There are currently only 62  settings in  the  country who hold  the  e-Quality Counts award, four of which are in West Yorkshire. The Ark Nursery is currently the only setting in Calderdale to achieve the e-Quality Counts award and at its highest level.

Although we are now an official e-Quality Counts accredited nursery our hard work of continuously developing our quality care and education will not stop. Our accreditation for the e- Quality Counts award lasts for three years before re-assessment, and a large part of the programme is about ensuring that we continually explore and develop what we do during this time. The staff team will continue to look at how we can support our children and their families in new and improved ways.
