The children have loved this year’s ‘Living Eggs’ activity. From the 12 eggs which were delivered, 11 have hatched into fluffy, yellow balls of cuteness! Children from all rooms visit Pre-school on a daily basis to watch the chicks and absolutely adore the chance to stroke or hold them (as do the staff!). It has been a wonderful experience for Pre-school as they have been responsible for their food and giving them clean drinking water – learning about routines, looking after animals and the life cycle of an egg. The chicks will leave us at the end of next week, off to pastures new. If you haven’t been to see them yet, you still have the chance to call by and say hello.
